Samura Photography policy

1. Booking & Payment

  • A signed contract and a non-refundable deposit are required to secure your booking.
  • The remaining balance is due by the day of the session unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment methods accepted: Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Zelle, Venmo.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Deposits are nonrefundable because they secure your session and immediately fund the preparation process, including equipment, rentals, travel planning, and administrative setup. Once booked, we dedicate the date and time exclusively to you, turning away other projects to ensure you receive our full commitment. Reschedules must be requested at least 72 hours in advance to transfer your deposit to a new date.
  • A new deposit may be required for reschedules requested within 72 hours.
  • In cases of emergencies, exceptions may be made at the photographer’s discretion.

3. Turnaround Time

  • Standard delivery time for edited photos is 2-3 weeks after the session.
  • Expedited delivery (within 5 business days) is available for an additional fee.

4. Photo Delivery

  • Edited images will be delivered digitally via an online gallery (Pixieset or equivalent).
  • Galleries will be available for download for 30 days. It is the client's responsibility to download and back up all images.

5. Image Rights & Usage

  • Samura Photography retains copyright ownership of all images.
  • Clients are granted personal use rights for printing and sharing.
  • Clients must credit/tag @samuraphotography when posting on Instagram or Facebook, unless client obtains commercial usage rights for business purposes.
  • Commercial usage requires a separate licensing agreement.

6. Editing Policy

  • Standard retouching includes color correction, lighting adjustments, and basic blemish removal.
  • Additional editing requests may incur extra fees.
  • RAW (unedited) images are not provided.

7. Client Responsibility

  • Arrive on time and ready for the session.
  • Outfits, makeup, hair, and props are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise arranged.
  • Samura Photography is not liable for dissatisfaction due to client-provided styling choices.

8. Studio & Outdoor Shoots

  • Studio location details will be provided upon booking.
  • Outdoor sessions are subject to weather conditions; reschedules will be coordinated if necessary.

9. COVID-19 and Health Safety

  • If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule your session.
  • Photographer reserves the right to wear a mask or require masks depending on the session location and situation.
