Hello Kings and Queens! I’m Albert Samara, the soldier-turned-photographer, and I specialize in helping local individuals feel more confident and tell their story with my photography.
Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, I moved to Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 2 years old. Growing up, I’ve always had a thing for the digital media world: from producing YouTube videos on Roblox to creating digital art with photoshop, I’ve always been intrigued.
My passion for photography began in my sophomore year of highschool, at Fargo South High, when I discovered that a camera can be used to create art, tell stories, express emotions, and capture memories that’ll last for a lifetime.
Throughout my life, I have had the privilege of taking on projects that defined my love for photography even more. I started with simple street photography, before inviting my friends to model for me, and eventually branching into portrait photography.
My career started to take off when I joined the Army in 2019, and earned the role as my Units photographer. This allowed me to put my photography and storytelling skills to the test, as I was tasked to photograph my unit’s unique activities, and tell a story with a written article.
My commitment to mastering my craft has led me to take on more projects which helped me expand into other areas, such as event photography and studio photography.
My approach is all about creatively telling stories that empower my clients, evoke the right emotions, and inspires their audience through their images.
Since I’ve opened my photography business in 2020, and my photography studio in 2023, I’ve always strived to empower and personally connect with my clients, helping them feel like the star that they are;
Because everybody is a star in their book.
